Recap: Bourbon Ball in Washington D.C.
The place to be for Black professionals Friday evening, including the who's who of D.C.'s Black Twitter, was at The Manor (1327 Connecticut Avenue, 20036) for the 1st annual Bourbon Ball.
Hosted by NSFW Events, the semi-formal event was sponsored by D.C.'s own Filibuster Bourbon. The bourbon was also used in the dangerously delicious bourbon balls by @KanyeBreast of Carnal Dish that were available at the bar. Filibuster Bourbon has a smooth taste, and is great by itself or mixed in a cocktail.
What's most notable was that it seemed like everyone (and by everyone, I mean me) drank as much as they wanted and the whiskey never ran out.
The event lasted from about 6 - 10:30 p.m. and the music by DJ Kellz was so good that no one wanted to leave the dance floor. Everyone was there to have a genuinely good time and that came across in the fun-loving, anything-goes atmosphere.
NSFW is taking the next Bourbon Ball to Atlanta on February 20th at Le Fais do-do so book your flights now! And in the mean time, the same team is hosting #BlackExcellence at Claudia's in D.C. on January 17th. Check here or follow @byecorn and @tommiecollins for updates. Don't say I didn't tell you to be there! Until then, check out more pictures below from Bourbon Ball D.C.
