Blackberry Vanilla Margarita

You can never go wrong with a good margarita. I mean, ever. I love the combination of blackberries and vanilla because it’s almost like a winning combination of sweet and savory flavors. With that said, get into this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. blanco tequila

  • .5 oz. Grand Marnier

  • .5 oz. Agave Syrup

  • .5 oz. lime juice

  • .25 oz. vanilla extract

  • 8 blackberries

Instructions:

  1. If you like salt on your margarita, run a quarter of a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip the rim in salt.

  2. Muddle 5 blackberries in your cocktail shaker.

  3. Add tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, and vanilla extract to your cocktail shaker.

  4. Shake for 10-15 seconds until chilled.

  5. Fill your glass with fresh ice and strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into your glass.

  6. Garnish with a the remaining blackberries and enjoy!

A '10K on Instagram' Celebration Cocktail!

Ya girl has finally made it! I’ve finally reached 10,000 followers on Instagram! Woohoo! This means I now have access to the mythical ‘Swipe Up’ feature…a dream for all influencers!

I created a poll on my stories of my favorite ingredients and my audience voted. So this cocktail, which I’ve appropriately named ‘The Swipe Up’, was crafted by you, my audience!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Tequila (I used Black-owned Anteel’s Coconut Lime)

  • 2 oz. fresh blood orange juice

  • .75 oz. lime juice

  • .5 oz. agave nectar

  • 3-4 dashes orange bitters

  • Prosecco or champagne, to top

  • Blood orange or lime wedge, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients except the Prosecco into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

  2. Shake for about 15 seconds strain into your champagne flute.

  3. Top with Prosecco and garnish with blood orange or lime wedge.

  4. Enjoy!
