Skinny Blood Orange Paloma

Since I’ve given up on #DryJanuary, I figured I’d do the next best thing: #LowCalJanuary. This Skinny Blood Orange Paloma is very delicious and you’d have no idea that it was low calorie. The only sugar involved is the sugar in the blood orange, grapefruit and lime juices, but it’s so minimal that I don’t really think it’s very many calories at all.

A traditional Paloma, cocktail native to Mexico, only contains tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. But I had some blood oranges in the fridge and thought they’d pair with grapefruit. Turns out I was right. Check out the ingredients below:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. tequila

  • .5 oz. blood orange juice

  • .5 oz. grapefruit juice

  • .5 oz. lime juice

  • .5 oz skinny simple syrup (make using a 1:1 ratio of water and a sugar substitute.)

Instructions:

  1. Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds.

  2. Pour contents of shaker into your glass and garnish with a blood orange or lime.

Let me know if you make it! It’s very delicious.
